More than 400 international users and developers of the open-source software QGIS deepened their knowledge of new developments and possibilities in QGIS through numerous technical talks and workshops.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"text-right-section\">\r\n\t<div class=\"row\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-lg-6\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<p dir=\"ltr\">In recent years, QGIS has become increasingly important in our project work, as it allows us to efficiently prepare, generate and maintain topological network models. Because we can develop our own tools and integrate them into QGIS, many work steps can now be automated and standardised. As QGIS has become an important tool in our work, we have been supporting the project as a \u201cSustaining Member\u201d since this year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the conference, we also presented our workflow in the talk \u201cFrom GIS to simulation: Using QGIS to automate model building for energy grids\u201d, showing the tools we have developed and how they are linked together. We also had the opportunity to hear many interesting presentations and to take away ideas for our own way of working across a wide range of areas. Alongside specific topics such as more efficient plugin development, collaboration in a GIS team space and working with SQL databases, broader questions were also in focus.
